How to take part

1. Click the sign up button above to register and receive your free hosting pack.

2. Set your date in October and invite your guests using the invitations in your free hosting pack.

3. Share your fundraising page with your friends, family and colleagues.

4. Plan your menu. Eggs and avocado, a buffet, the choice is yours. You can even ask guests to bring a dish each.

5. Have fun, create memories and make life better for people living with mental health problems.

How do I fundraise?

1. Donations on the door. Ask your guests to donate to join the fun. We suggest £10 as this could cover the cost of 1 call to Mind's Infoline, where people can speak to a trained expert.

2. Organise a raffle. Contact local shops and businesses and ask them to donate prizes. People are often happy to help. Get in touch if you would like an official letter to share with companies.

3. Play some games. How about guessing the number of blueberries in a bowl, or the secret ingredient in that smoothie? Ask guests to donate to enter and have a simple prize for the winner.

How does my fundraising make a difference?

We're in the middle of a mental health crisis. 2 million people are currently on waiting lists for NHS mental health services - they're being left behind by a broken mental health system. Many will reach crisis point.

We know that alongside those on waiting lists, there are many more who have felt unable to reach out for the help they need for fear of being judged or not taken seriously. And even those who have reached out for help are often told that they don't meet the criteria for certain types of support.

The money you raise can help us be there for the millions who need us, by answering calls to our helplines, offering support via our website and in our online community, Side by Side.
